About school

Gimnazija Metković was founded in 1954. Our principal is Mr Jozo Jurković.
It is a state secondary school with 350 students (age 14-19) and 40 teachers.
Students can choose one of three main courses – language-oriented, STEM-oriented and a comprehensive course.
The school curriculum is highly academic with on average 16 compulsory subjects every
year, and all pupils go on to higher education at university.
Our students have consistently scored high in national competitions and nationwide school-leaving exams.
Other activities of the school add to its European dimension.
As a UNESCO, Erasmus and European Parliament Ambassador School, we are continuously promoting Europe-wide cooperation.
